This course is designed for physicians, fellows, mid-level practitioners, nurses and other allied health professionals dedicated to the field of Hyperbaric Medicine.
The largest concern when treating indicated patients with HBO is oxygen toxicity. Overdosing of oxygen is the major cause of complications during treatment, and may result in serious side effects if not monitored. Topics of discussion include identifying risk factors for oxygen toxicity, diagnosing and treating patients who are overexposed to oxygen. This lecture also touches on the values of oxygen tables.
