Advanced Modalities will provide insight into Mechanical, Biological or Pharmaceutical technologies and devices that are utilized in addition to standard medical and surgical therapy with the intent to promote wound healing. This is accomplished via multiple direct or indirect pathways, including mechanisms to stimulate perfusion, enhance angiogenesis, stimulate matrix formation, and reduce bioburden. Advanced wound care modalities are utilized with the ultimate goals of enhancing wound healing, achieving limb salvage and improving the quality of life. These advanced wound care modality continuing education courses are intended for both the novice practitioner as well as the seasoned clinician by providing refresher training as well as an introduction to novel evolving technologies and devices.
